Question #8

What is Bioshock about? That's the next question. I thought that this question might be a bit tricky. How could I possibly explain Bioshock and avoid spoilers whilst doing so? I thought. Well, as it turns out it's actually quite easy since Bioshock is not about it's setting in a city at the bottom of the sea, it's not necessarily about the characters you meet during the adventure there. It's not about the action and gameplay either. All of those things are merely the tools for telling the story. So what is it about then?

That's a bit Pinteresting.

So I came a little late to the Pinterest party and whilst it was partly due to me being that cool it was also down to me not quite getting it when I was first introduced to it. Starbuck had told me many times about things that she had found and read and posted on pinterest and had I seen this and had I read that. I hadn't because I didn't know how to use pinterest.
That has changed now though, I recently spent some time exploring
Pinterest and discovered how to use it
how it is intended to be used.
This is not a guide though.

This Is The End. Russell Brand - Jeremy Paxman.

Russell Brand appeared on Newsnight with
Jeremy Paxman to discuss some politics recently.
Russell had guest edited the New Statesman and his political views seem to have cast doubt
upon his credentials to undertake such a task.
Jeremy fires some taxing questions his way and grills Russell in the same manner he would a fully fledged member of parliament.
Russell however, responds more eloquently, intelligently and realistically than any politician would under similar questioning.

Friday Favourites #4

Everybody has their favourite places in the world. A favorite holiday destination, a favourite city break, a favourite restaurant to eat out at, a favourite room in the house, a favourite chair to sit in at home or favourite side of the couch and that's great. These are places where we have created strong emotional ties or where we are most comfortable. I myself prefer the left side of the couch, there is a cafe in Hanley that I am rather partial to and I'm quite fond of Scotland.

Disposable Monday #3

When it runs low there will be less splashing out.
Saving Money. It's so important these days to do it effectively just to be able to keep your head above the water. Now more than ever it seems since money, much like water, seems to flow in the same direction; back to where it came from. It merely passes through the fingers allowing you to keep only what you need at the time. It is a delicate balance that needs to be maintained. Keep too much of it and the ocean has less to give and there is going to be a drought. If the ocean doesn't let it go, there is going to be a drought. The ocean needs the river as much as the river needs the ocean. So what happens when the river runs low and the ocean does not want to let go?

Question #9

Well, this one seems straight forward enough. What is your favourite colour? Easy, right?
Red. That's the answer. End of blog. Thanks for reading, see you next time.
I don't know why it took so long to get around to posting this. Before I go though, there is just one other thing. No "what" question is complete without asking "why". So let's ask why as well.
Why is red my favorite colour?

Question #10

I really must get down to completing this project. This is possibly the most eagerly awaited blog post ever. More than 5 years in the making. A much discussed and debated topic that has been somewhat divisive within the household from time to time.
The question is simple enough, so what is the problem? Why does it take so long to answer it? Well, if the answer to the question is so simple and easy perhaps the consequences of the answer are equally simple and easy and that's just not the case is it.
So, what is the answer? And what is the question?
Find out after the jump.

The Drowning of Marzanna.

Goodbye Marzanna
I may be going a little off schedule here but a rather interesting (if somewhat dark) Polish tradition marks today's spring equinox. It is called "The Drowning of Marzanna" and it is an annual tradition dating way back before Poland was a predominantly Catholic country.

The Real Top 10.

Previously on I am The Wolfman; I had decided to make a post about a top ten list but I wanted to make the post more interesting than the usual top ten list fare that you might find on a personal bloggers blog page. I had gone through several ideas of what to make a list of but none of them were what I wanted to make a blog post about. During the process however I had been able to determine what it is that I wanted to do with the blog post and what I didn't want to do with it. I came to a conclusion after much deliberation that I feel will be fun, enjoyable and informative for all to read and I know that I will enjoy writing it.
So, now it is time for the gripping conclusion!

That Top 10 List I Promised.

I spent some time thinking about what sort of top 10 list I should make. It was trickier than I thought it was going to be since I wanted it to be interesting and unique but I'm sure that there isn't any subject or topic that somebody hasn't already made a top 10 list of somewhere on the internet. I thought maybe I could make a top 10 list of top 10 lists. That would be hilarious wouldn't it! Haha! No, no it wouldn't. So I didn't do that. Here is what I did do instead. Have a look after the jump.

Nothing To See Here.

I have been keeping this blog for almost a year now. To this date there has been little over 1300 views of the blog page. Of all of the viewers, less than 0.01% of them have interacted with the blog in any way. None have commented on any of the posts, most of the interaction has been been sharing of various posts on other websites such as Google+ or Facebook. Maybe the things that I'm writing about are just not that interesting to anybody and that is why nobody deems it worthy of comment. Maybe my writing style isn't very pleasing and most readers don't make it to the end of my posts. There is one post here that has not had a single view at all. It's the one about Street Fighter IV. It's only going to be interesting to somebody who has an interest in Street Fighter or video games anyway. I had previously posted that very same piece on a gaming website before it was posted here and it exploded with reader comments but here nobody is interested. I still keep writing stuff and posting it here though. My Mother once told me that there is little point in writing if nobody is going to read it. That writing is a form of expression with which to open up debate which in turn grants access to opinions of others that may be different from your own given that they are formed from a different perspective and therefore allowing you to see the same thing from a perspective that you may not have been able to consider before. It is a learning experience. So, given the lack of discourse; why do I continue to write this stuff?

Put Some New Shoes On.

So, the Wife likes shoes. There's a surprise. Here are some shoes that I made for her as a Christmas present.
Inspired by the television show The Big Bang Theory and slightly amended from the original. This is how I went about painting them.

Star Wars, Angry Birds Style.

When I had first seen reports of Angry Birds Star Wars I had thought that it was perhaps a joke or maybe just some fan art or something. I didn't look into it any further to see if it was true as it did not hold my interest enough to warrant investigation. Little did I know at the time of how wrong I was.
The Bear likes to play Angry Birds on Starbucks iPhone occasionally. He plays the free trial version of Angry Birds for the iPhone since there is no way that I am paying money for it! One occasion just a couple of weeks ago The Bear asked if he could play Angry Birds but Starbuck was on her way out to work so she suggested that he play on my phone instead. I didn't have Angry Birds on my phone so I decided to download it from the store. Since my phone is an Android phone the full game of Angry Birds would be free. I knew that The Bear had enjoyed playing Angry Birds Space on Granny Sue's iPad so I searched for the Angry Birds Space game on the Google Play store. I found it with no problem but I also found Angry Birds Star Wars on the store right next to Angry Birds Space. My reaction to discovering that Angry Birds Star Wars was a real game downloadable from the store and not a joke as I originally thought was one of both amusement and dismay. I asked The Bear if he wanted Angry Birds Space or Star Wars. He chose Angry Birds Star Wars.
